Blue 15.1 is a dark blue-colored crystalline powder that is also known as Phthalocyanine Blue. It is commonly used in the manufacturing of paints and inks. This powdered substance is free from odor and is completely insoluble in water. It is highly demanding and popular among our customers as it is free from moisture and watery content. Blue 15.1 has a chemical formula of C32 H16 N8 Cu with an average molecular weight of 576 grams per mol.
Physical & Chemical properties:
- Neutral to alkaline in nature with a pH in between 7 to 8.5,
- Excellent heat fastness up to 280 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes,
- Oil absorption rate in between 55 to 65 milliliters per 100 grams.
